In light of the recent regulatory changes, your holdings cannot be directly transferred to your stockbroker for pledging. All new pledges from August 28th onwards will be in the new system where you pledge your shares and then they are repledged to the clearing corporation.

We have started unpledging the existing pledged holdings which will have to be pledged again in the new system by authorising the request. You will receive an email from CDSL to authorise the pledge request.
