Adjustment of F&O contracts of MPHASIS due to dividend

As per the NSE circular, July 08, 2026, the strikes of MPHASIS options and the base price of the futures contracts will be revised due to extraordinary dividends.

Adjustment for future contracts:

All positions in futures contracts of MPHASIS will be marked-to-market on the last cum-dividend date, i.e. July 07, 2026, based on the daily settlement price of the respective futures contract. Subsequently, open positions will be carried forward at the daily settlement price less ₹62 (dividend amount) for the respective futures contract.

From July 08, 2026 (ex-dividend date), daily mark-to-market settlement of the futures contracts will continue as per normal procedures.

For example:

Assume you bought 1 lot (275 quantities) of MPHASIS July futures on July 07, 2026, at ₹2,281, and the daily settlement price at market close is ₹2,320, you would have made a mark-to-market profit of ₹39 per share.

On July 08, 2026, the previous day’s position will be carried forward at ₹2,258 (i.e. 2320 − 62). If the closing price on July 08, 2026, is ₹2,290, you’ll make a mark-to-market profit of ₹32 per share.

Adjustment for option contracts:

The full value of the dividend, i.e. ₹62, will be deducted from all the cum-dividend strike prices on the ex-dividend date. All positions in existing strike prices will continue to exist in the corresponding new adjusted strike prices.

For example:

The strike price of the ₹2,280 Call Option will be reduced to ₹2,218 on July 08, 2026, and the positions in the ₹2,280 Call Option will continue to exist in the ₹2,218 Call Option.

The lot size of the F&O contracts will not change.

Also, if you hold equity shares of MPHASIS in your Demat account as of July 08, 2026 (ex-date), you will be entitled to receive the dividend, which will be credited directly to your primary bank account within 30 to 45 days from the record date.

Adjustment of F&O contracts of UNIONBANK due to dividend

As per the NSE circular, July 03, 2026, the strikes of UNIONBANK options and the base price of the futures contracts will be revised due to extraordinary dividends.

Adjustment for future contracts:

All positions in futures contracts of UNIONBANK will be marked-to-market on the last cum-dividend date, i.e. July 02, 2026, based on the daily settlement price of the respective futures contract. Subsequently, open positions will be carried forward at the daily settlement price less ₹5 (dividend amount) for the respective futures contract.

From July 03, 2026 (ex-dividend date), daily mark-to-market settlement of the futures contracts will continue as per normal procedures.

For example:

Assume you bought 1 lot (4425 quantities) of UNIONBANK July futures on July 02, 2026, at ₹175, and the daily settlement price at market close is ₹179, you would have made a mark-to-market profit of ₹4 per share.

On July 03, 2026, the previous day’s position will be carried forward at ₹174 (i.e. 179 − 5). If the closing price on July 03, 2026, is ₹177, you’ll make a mark-to-market profit of ₹3 per share.

Adjustment for option contracts:

The full value of the dividend, i.e. ₹5, will be deducted from all the cum-dividend strike prices on the ex-dividend date. All positions in existing strike prices will continue to exist in the corresponding new adjusted strike prices.

For example:

The strike price of the ₹175 Call Option will be reduced to ₹170 on July 03, 2026, and the positions in the ₹175 Call Option will continue to exist in the ₹170 Call Option.

The lot size of the F&O contracts will not change.

Also, if you hold equity shares of UNIONBANK in your Demat account as of July 03, 2026 (ex-date), you will be entitled to receive the dividend, which will be credited directly to your primary bank account within 30 to 45 days from the record date.

Trading holiday on account of Moharram on June 26, 2026

The equity, F&O, and currency markets will remain closed on June 26, 2026, on account of Moharram. Commodity markets will be closed for the first half, and trading will be open only in the evening session (5:00 pm onwards).

Since it’s also a settlement holiday, your account balance on June 26, 2026, will not include the credits from:

Intraday and F&O profits made in the Equity segment on June 25, 2026.
Profits (Realized and Marked to Market) from trades or positions in the commodity derivatives on June 25, 2026.
Credits from exiting option positions on June 25, 2026.

Surveillance measure on scrips - June 2026

In order to enhance market integrity and safeguard the interest of investors, SEBI and exchanges, have introduced various surveillance measures, such as reduction in price bands, periodic call auctions, and moving securities to the Trade to Trade (T2T) segment from time to time.

Enhanced Surveillance Measure (ESM) Stage II: Scrips will be under Trade to Trade category with a price band of 2%, and the trading will be permitted on all trading days under Periodic Call Auction. Read more.

Graded Surveillance Measure (GSM) Stage III: Scrips will be permitted for trading only once a week (Every Monday or the 1st trading day of the week) and an Additional Surveillance Deposit (ASD) of 100% of the trade value to be deposited by the buyer.

Additional surveillance measure (ASM): Scrips will be undergoing an Insolvency Resolution Process (IRP) as per the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) and the stock will trade only once a week (Every Monday or the 1st trading day of the week).

Adjustment for future contracts:

All positions in futures contracts of LICI will be marked-to-market on the last cum-dividend date, i.e. June 24, 2026, based on the daily settlement price of the respective futures contract. Subsequently, open positions will be carried forward at the daily settlement price less ₹10 (dividend amount) for the respective futures contract.

From June 25, 2026 (ex-dividend date), daily mark-to-market settlement of the futures contracts will continue as per normal procedures.

For example:

Assume you bought 1 lot (1400 quantities) of LICI June futures on June 24, 2026, at ₹423, and the daily settlement price at market close is ₹430, you would have made a mark-to-market profit of ₹7 per share.

Adjustment of F&O contracts of TRENT on account of bonus.

As per the circular, effective from June 04, 2026, the TRENT F&O contracts will be revised based on the bonus adjustment factor.

Calculation of the adjustment factor:

The adjustment factor for a bonus issue of A:B is defined as (A+B)/B. For TRENT, the adjustment factor is (1+2)/2 = 1.5 since the bonus issue ratio is 1:2.

Adjustment for Options Contracts:

Strike Price: The adjusted strike price is calculated by dividing the old strike price by the adjustment factor.

Lot Size: The adjusted lot size is arrived at by multiplying the old market lot by the adjustment factor. The revised lot size would be 150.

For example:

Assume you hold a position in TRENT JUN 4150 CE. The current lot size is 100. On ex-date, the 4150 CE will be adjusted to 2766.67 (Strike Price 4150 / Adjustment Factor 1.5), and the lot size will be adjusted to 150 (Current Lot Size: 100 * Adjustment Factor 1.5).

If the option premium is ₹186 on pre-ex-date, the adjusted premium on ex-date would be ₹124 (Option Premium ₹186 / Adjustment Factor 1.5).

Adjustment for Futures Contracts:

Futures base price: The adjusted futures base price is arrived at by dividing the settlement price of the future one day before the ex-date by the adjustment factor.

Futures lot size: The adjusted market lot will be arrived at by multiplying the old market lot by the adjustment factor. The revised market lot would be 150.

For example:

Adjustment of F&O contracts of HDFCAMC due to dividend

As per the NSE circular, June 05, 2026, the strikes of HDFCAMC options and the base price of the futures contracts will be revised due to extraordinary dividends.

Adjustment for future contracts:

All positions in futures contracts of HDFCAMC will be marked-to-market on the last cum-dividend date, i.e. June 04, 2026, based on the daily settlement price of the respective futures contract. Subsequently, open positions will be carried forward at the daily settlement price less ₹54 (dividend amount) for the respective futures contract.

From June 05, 2026 (ex-dividend date), daily mark-to-market settlement of the futures contracts will continue as per normal procedures.

For example:

Assume you bought 1 lot (300 quantities) of HDFCAMC June futures on June 04, 2026, at ₹2,595, and the daily settlement price at market close is ₹2,650, you would have made a mark-to-market profit of ₹55 per share.

On June 05, 2026, the previous day’s position will be carried forward at ₹2,596 (i.e. 2650 − 54). If the closing price on June 05, 2026, is ₹2,630, you’ll make a mark-to-market profit of ₹34 per share.

Adjustment for option contracts:

The full value of the dividend, i.e. ₹54, will be deducted from all the cum-dividend strike prices on the ex-dividend date. All positions in existing strike prices will continue to exist in the corresponding new adjusted strike prices.

For example:

The strike price of the ₹2,620 Call Option will be reduced to ₹2,566 on June 05, 2026, and the positions in the ₹2,620 Call Option will continue to exist in the ₹2,566 Call Option.

The lot size of the F&O contracts will not change.

Also, if you hold equity shares of HDFCAMC in your Demat account as of June 05, 2026 (ex-date), you will be entitled to receive the dividend, which will be credited directly to your primary bank account within 30 to 45 days from the record date.

Additional exposure margin on securities under MWPL

Starting May 29, 2026, an additional exposure margin of 15% in the equity derivatives segment will be levied on F&O contracts of securities where the top 10 clients together account for more than 20% of the Market-Wide Position Limit (MWPL).

For securities where an additional surveillance margin is already applicable, the higher of the additional exposure margin or the additional surveillance margin will be levied.

This framework will apply immediately after the expiry of May 2026 derivative contracts. The list of securities is as follows:

Adjustment for future contracts:

All positions in futures contracts of ITC will be marked-to-market on the last cum-dividend date, i.e. May 26, 2026, based on the daily settlement price of the respective futures contract. Subsequently, open positions will be carried forward at the daily settlement price less ₹8 (dividend amount) for the respective futures contract.

From May 27, 2026 (ex-dividend date), daily mark-to-market settlement of the futures contracts will continue as per normal procedures.

For example:

Assume you bought 1 lot (1600 quantities) of ITC June futures on May 26, 2026, at ₹304, and the daily settlement price at market close is ₹309, you would have made a mark-to-market profit of ₹5 per share.

On May 27, 2026, the previous day’s position will be carried forward at ₹301 (i.e. 309 − 8). If the closing price on May 27, 2026, is ₹306, you’ll make a mark-to-market profit of ₹5 per share.

Adjustment for option contracts:

Adjustment of F&O contracts of LICI on account of bonus.

As per the circular, effective from May 29, 2026, the LICI F&O contracts will be revised based on the bonus adjustment factor.

Calculation of the adjustment factor:

The adjustment factor for a bonus issue of A: B is defined as (A+B)/B. For LICI, the adjustment factor is (1+1)/1 = 2 since the bonus issue ratio is 1:1.

Adjustment for Options Contracts:

Strike Price: The adjusted strike price is calculated by dividing the old strike price by the adjustment factor.

Lot Size: The adjusted lot size is arrived at by multiplying the old market lot by the adjustment factor. The revised lot size would be 1400.

For example:

Assume you hold a position in LICI JUN 820 CE. The current lot size is 700. On ex-date, the 820 CE will be adjusted to 410 (Strike Price 820 / Adjustment Factor 2), and the lot size will be adjusted to 1400 (Current Lot Size: 700 * Adjustment Factor 2).

If the option premium is ₹31 on pre-ex-date, the adjusted premium on ex-date would be ₹15.5 (Option Premium ₹31 / Adjustment Factor 2).

Adjustment for Futures Contracts:

Futures base price: The adjusted futures base price is arrived at by dividing the settlement price of the future one day before the ex-date by the adjustment factor.

Futures lot size: The adjusted market lot will be arrived at by multiplying the old market lot by the adjustment factor. The revised market lot would be 1400.

For example:

Assume you are holding a position in LICI JUN FUT and on pre-ex-date (May 27, 2026), futures close at 831, on ex-date, the price will be adjusted to 415.5 (Price on pre-ex-date: 831 / Adjustment Factor: 2)

While the lot size will be adjusted to 1400 (Current lot size: 700 * Adjustment Factor: 2).
