Surveillance measure on scrips - August 2026

In order to enhance market integrity and safeguard the interest of investors, SEBI and exchanges, have introduced various surveillance measures, such as reduction in price bands, periodic call auctions, and moving securities to the Trade to Trade (T2T) segment from time to time.

Enhanced Surveillance Measure (ESM) Stage II: Scrips will be under Trade to Trade category with a price band of 2%, and the trading will be permitted on all trading days under Periodic Call Auction. Read more.

Graded Surveillance Measure (GSM) Stage III: Scrips will be permitted for trading only once a week (Every Monday or the 1st trading day of the week) and an Additional Surveillance Deposit (ASD) of 100% of the trade value to be deposited by the buyer.

Additional surveillance measure (ASM): Scrips will be undergoing an Insolvency Resolution Process (IRP) as per the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) and the stock will trade only once a week (Every Monday or the 1st trading day of the week).

[Resolved] Issue with price updates an order placement in certain option strikes on BSE

There is an issue at the exchange across brokers affecting price updates and order placement in certain option strikes and futures contracts on BSE. We’re in touch with the exchange to resolve this at the earliest.

Adjustment of F&O contracts of INDUSTOWER due to dividend

As per the NSE circular, August 10, 2026, the strikes of INDUSTOWER options and the base price of the futures contracts will be revised due to extraordinary dividends.

Adjustment for future contracts:

All positions in futures contracts of INDUSTOWER will be marked-to-market on the last cum-dividend date, i.e. August 07, 2026, based on the daily settlement price of the respective futures contract. Subsequently, open positions will be carried forward at the daily settlement price less ₹14 (dividend amount) for the respective futures contract.

From August 10, 2026 (ex-dividend date), daily mark-to-market settlement of the futures contracts will continue as per normal procedures.

For example:

Assume you bought 1 lot (1700 quantities) of INDUSTOWER August futures on August 07, 2026, at ₹389, and the daily settlement price at market close is ₹398, you would have made a mark-to-market profit of ₹9 per share.

On August 10, 2026, the previous day’s position will be carried forward at ₹384 (i.e. 398 − 14). If the closing price on August 10, 2026, is ₹392, you’ll make a mark-to-market profit of ₹8 per share.

Adjustment for option contracts:

The full value of the dividend, i.e. ₹14, will be deducted from all the cum-dividend strike prices on the ex-dividend date. All positions in existing strike prices will continue to exist in the corresponding new adjusted strike prices.

For example:

The strike price of the ₹390 Call Option will be reduced to ₹376 on August 10, 2026, and the positions in the ₹390 Call Option will continue to exist in the ₹376 Call Option.

The lot size of the F&O contracts will not change.

Also, if you hold equity shares of INDUSTOWER in your Demat account as of August 10, 2026 (ex-date), you will be entitled to receive the dividend, which will be credited directly to your primary bank account within 30 to 45 days from the record date.

Adjustment of F&O contracts of ULTRACEMCO due to dividend

As per the NSE circular, Juky 30, 2026, the strikes of ULTRACEMCO options and the base price of the futures contracts will be revised due to extraordinary dividends.

Adjustment for future contracts:

All positions in futures contracts of ULTRACEMCO will be marked-to-market on the last cum-dividend date, i.e. July 29, 2026, based on the daily settlement price of the respective futures contract. Subsequently, open positions will be carried forward at the daily settlement price less ₹240 (dividend amount) for the respective futures contract.

From July 30, 2026 (ex-dividend date), daily mark-to-market settlement of the futures contracts will continue as per normal procedures.

For example:

Assume you bought 1 lot (50 quantities) of ULTRACEMCO July futures on July 29, 2026, at ₹11,886, and the daily settlement price at market close is ₹12,100, you would have made a mark-to-market profit of ₹214 per share.

On July 30, 2026, the previous day’s position will be carried forward at ₹11,860 (i.e. 12,100 − 240). If the closing price on July 30, 2026, is ₹11,980, you’ll make a mark-to-market profit of ₹120 per share.

Adjustment for option contracts:

The full value of the dividend, i.e. ₹240, will be deducted from all the cum-dividend strike prices on the ex-dividend date. All positions in existing strike prices will continue to exist in the corresponding new adjusted strike prices.

For example:

The strike price of the ₹11,900 Call Option will be reduced to ₹11,660 on July 30, 2026, and the positions in the ₹11,900 Call Option will continue to exist in the ₹11,660 Call Option.

The lot size of the F&O contracts will not change.

As per the NSE circular, August 14, 2026, the strikes of HINDPETRO options and the base price of the futures contracts will be revised due to extraordinary dividends.

Adjustment for future contracts:

All positions in futures contracts of HINDPETRO will be marked-to-market on the last cum-dividend date, i.e. August 13, 2026, based on the daily settlement price of the respective futures contract. Subsequently, open positions will be carried forward at the daily settlement price less ₹19.25 (dividend amount) for the respective futures contract.

From August 14, 2026 (ex-dividend date), daily mark-to-market settlement of the futures contracts will continue as per normal procedures.

For example:

Assume you bought 1 lot (2025 quantities) of HINDPETRO August futures on August 13, 2026, at ₹396, and the daily settlement price at market close is ₹410, you would have made a mark-to-market profit of ₹14 per share.

On August 14, 2026, the previous day’s position will be carried forward at ₹390.75 (i.e. 410 − 19.25). If the closing price on August 14, 2026, is ₹402, you’ll make a mark-to-market profit of ₹11.25 per share.

Adjustment for option contracts:

The full value of the dividend, i.e. ₹19.25, will be deducted from all the cum-dividend strike prices on the ex-dividend date. All positions in existing strike prices will continue to exist in the corresponding new adjusted strike prices.

For example:

The strike price of the ₹400 Call Option will be reduced to ₹380.75 on August 14, 2026, and the positions in the ₹400 Call Option will continue to exist in the ₹380.75 Call Option.

The lot size of the F&O contracts will not change.

Also, if you hold equity shares of HINDPETRO in your Demat account as of August 14, 2026 (ex-date), you will be entitled to receive the dividend, which will be credited directly to your primary bank account within 30 to 45 days from the record date.

Quarterly Settlement of Funds - July 2026

All unused funds in your Zerodha account as of the end of the day on July 03, 2026, will be transferred back to your primary bank account as part of the mandatory quarterly settlement process. You can expect to receive the credit of funds in your bank account during the day on July 04, 2026.

Stockbrokers are required to transfer unused funds back to the client’s bank account as per SEBI regulations. Learn more.

Funds added back to the trading account before 3rd July, and any remaining unused funds will be settled back to the bank account as per regulatory requirements.
Withdrawal requests placed on the 3rd July onwards will be processed on the 4th July.
Instant withdrawal will not be available on July 04, 2026.

Additional exposure margin on securities under MWPL

Starting July 01, 2026, an additional exposure margin of 15% in the equity derivatives segment will be levied on F&O contracts of securities where the top 10 clients together account for more than 20% of the Market-Wide Position Limit (MWPL).

For securities where an additional surveillance margin is already applicable, the higher of the additional exposure margin or the additional surveillance margin will be levied.

This framework will apply immediately after the expiry of June 2026 derivative contracts. The list of securities is as follows:
