J&K stamp duty revision to 0.01%
The J&K stamp authorities have deemed that all trades on the exchange platform by traders residing in Jammu and Kashmir have to be charged stamp duty at a rate of 0.01%. As such, w.e.f. Monday, June 10 2019, stamp duty will be charged at a revised rate of 0.01% for all trades. The J&K Stamp Act is available here. The relevant clause is on page 29 of the document.
