About Central Mine Planning and Design Institute
Central Mine Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI), established in 1975, is a public sector consultancy and a wholly owned subsidiary of Coal India. It provides a full range of services in geological exploration, mine planning and design, infrastructure engineering, environmental management, and geospatial solutions. CMPDI is the largest coal and mineral consultancy in India by market share in Fiscal 2025.
