STP Calculator

The STP calculator helps you calculate how much will remain in your original fund and how much will end up in your target fund by the end of the transfer period.

The results include:

• Invested Amount: Total amount you've invested in the source fund.
• Balance Amount (source fund): Remaining amount in the source fund after transfers.
• Amount Transferred (destination fund): Total amount moved to the destination fund.
• Total Investment Value: Combined value of both funds at the end of the period.

To start an STP, you first need to choose the mutual fund you want to transfer from and the one you want to transfer to. On Zerodha’s Coin platform, you can easily set this up by selecting the funds, deciding on the transfer amount and frequency (weekly or monthly), and confirming the setup. Make sure you have an active bank mandate for seamless transactions.

The minimum amount varies depending on the fund you choose. Each fund has its own required minimum investment, which will be shown when you’re setting up the STP.

Yes, charges like exit load, taxation and other fund specific fees may apply when you redeem and reinvest funds through an STP. The exact charges depend on the terms of the mutual fund you're transferring from. You can view the impact of these charges in the P&L report on Zerodha's Console.
