Discontinuation of weekly derivatives contracts from November 2024
As per the SEBI circular, each Exchange may provide derivatives contracts for only one of its benchmark Index with weekly expiry and shall be effective from November 20, 2024.
Under the new rules, NSE will continue to offer weekly expiry options only for Nifty 50 Index and BSE will continue with Sensex weekly options.
The below-mentioned weekly contracts of indices will not be available for trading after the respective last day of trading:

Note: This will not affect the monthly expiry options, which will continue to be offered as usual.
