About Lighthouse Communities Foundation

Lighthouse Communities Foundation (LCF) is a Pune-headquartered Section 8 not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering disadvantaged urban youth aged 18–35, particularly from slum and low-income communities, to achieve sustained livelihoods and good citizenship.Operating via a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model—leveraging government infrastructure alongside CSR and philanthropic funding—LCF delivers its flagship “Lighthouse: Centre for Skilling and Livelihood” program. The model follows a comprehensive six-stage pathway: foundational agency-building, workplace readiness (spoken English and digital literacy), personalized counselling, vocational skilling across 30+ sectors, placement support, and alumni mentoring.Additionally, LCF serves as the Indian anchor partner for the Global Opportunity Youth Network (GOYN) and runs Lighthouse Kiran for adolescent socio-emotional learning. Currently managing 51 operational centres across six Indian states, the foundation has impacted over 2.8 lakh youth since its inception.

  • Global Opportunity Youth Network (GOYN) Initiatives: An ecosystem approach for Opportunity Youth (aged 15–29) featuring:
    • Lighthouse Connect: Livelihood literacy and last-mile connectivity to jobs, training, apprenticeships, and education re-entry.
    • Project Udaan: Industry-aligned skilling and on-the-job training (OJT) in the logistics and supply chain sector, with an emphasis on female participation.
    • Youth Leadership (YAG & YIF): Empowers youth voice and civic action through the Youth Advisory Group and provides micro-grants for community-led solutions via the Youth Innovation Fund.
  • Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP): Equips aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs—especially women—with foundational business skills, handholding, and vital market linkages such as exhibitions and subsidized retail stalls.

Are there any financial returns?

No. This is a Zero Coupon Zero Principal (ZCZP) instrument, unique to the Social Stock Exchange. It’s essentially a structured grant — you’re contributing to a social cause.

There are no financial returns and no principal repayment. The contribution reflects in your demat holdings and is eligible for 80G income tax deduction. ZCZP instruments are issued only in dematerialised form and cannot be traded in the secondary market.

How to Contribute via Zerodha?

  • Log in to Kite Web and go to the Bids section to find SSE IPOs.
  • Select the LCFZCZP listing and enter your contribution amount (minimum Rs 1000).
  • Once submitted, accept the mandate on the UPI app.
  • The ZCZP instrument will appear in your demat holdings once listed. You will receive audited impact reports on how your contribution was utilised.
