Settlement holiday on account of Parsi New Year on August 16, 2023
August 16, 2023, is a settlement holiday on account of Parsi New Year. A settlement holiday is a day when trading is possible, but clearing and settlement are closed for Payin and Payout of stocks and funds.
Your account balance will not include the following credits on Parsi New Year:
- Intraday profits made in the Equity segment on 14th of August.
- Credits from trades made in NFO, Currency, and Commodity derivatives on the 14th of August. This will include options premium credits, futures M2M profits, etc.
- The sale proceeds from the BTST sell transaction on Wednesday, 16th August will be settled on Thursday, 17th August, and the credits will be available for trading on Friday, 18th August.
You can check your fund statement on Console to see the unsettled credits in your account.
Note:
- The currency and auction markets will remain closed for the day.
- Profits and credits received from trades or exiting positions in the derivatives segment (F&O and CDS) on 14th August, 2023, will be available for withdrawal on 17th August, 2023 by EOD.
