Change in lot size of BANKNIFTY contracts from June 30th 2023
Starting June 30, 2023, the lot size of Bank Nifty F&O contracts will be reduced from 25 to 15 for contracts expiring in Sep 2023, Dec 2023, and March 2024. Please adjust your positions to multiples of 15 before June 30 to avoid any issues with exiting these contracts before expiry.
For example, if you hold 4 lots of Bank Nifty as per the current lot size of 25, you’d have 100 units of the contract. You can modify this position by exiting one lot, thereby holding 75 units, which will amount to 5 lots as per the new lot size.
