Introducing Remind Me for events and IPOs

As an investor or trader, staying updated with market-moving events is important. But tracking multiple economic announcements and IPO openings can be overwhelming, making it easy to miss important updates. We have been working on making this easier for you.

Zerodha Economic Calendar

Last year, we launched the Zerodha Economic Calendar to help you track all domestic and global economic events in one place. The calendar includes various market-moving events that can impact different sectors of the market.

Take the Domestic Airline Passengers Carried metric—it tracks commercial airline traffic within India. For investors in aviation sector stocks like Indigo or SpiceJet, this data provides valuable insights into sector performance.

Or consider the RBI Policy Meeting event. This event can have effects not just in the banking industry but also influence consumer spending, currency flows, bond yields, and much more. As a trader or investor, if you are focused on interest rate-sensitive sectors (banking, real estate, automobiles, etc.), tracking this event will help you be prepared for changes and will help you adjust your strategy accordingly.

IPOs

On our IPO page, you could track all Mainboard and SME IPOs. However, we realised that it was difficult to differentiate between Mainboard and SME IPOs. Which is why we revamped our IPO page last year and differentiated SME IPOs with a tag. We also started showing the current IPOs that were open for subscription under the Live IPOs section.

New Remind me feature

But not all events on the Economic Calendar or not all IPOs may be relevant or of interest to you. Which is why we have launched the Remind me feature. With this, you can set up reminders to automatically track specific events and IPOs that you are interested in. Here’s how it works:

On the Economic Calendar, you will notice a / Remind me button next to each event. Simply tap this icon to set a reminder for the event you want to track.

Similarly, on the individual IPO page, you will find the same Remind me option next to each IPO. Simply tap this, and you will be notified when the IPO opens for subscription.

When you set a reminder, you will receive two notifications at 8:30 AM on the relevant day:

• A notification on Kite app
• A notification on your registered email ID

To use this feature, you will need to be logged into your Zerodha account. If you are not already logged in when setting a reminder, you will be asked to do so first.
