Sangam (India) Ltd reported a sharp jump in first-quarter profit, approved a preferential warrant issue to promoters, and outlined a ₹1,500 crore expansion plan after a board meeting on Saturday. Standalone net profit climbed to ₹39.35 crore for the June quarter from ₹4.27 crore a year earlier, with revenue rising to ₹845.54 crore. The board cleared the issuance of 1.8 million warrants convertible into equity shares to seven promoter and promoter-group entities at ₹555.56 apiece, raising ₹100 crore. A three-year expansion blueprint will add spinning, denim, garmenting and recycled polyester capacities, pushing total investment to about ₹1,500 crore by March 2029. The expansion will be funded through a mix of term debt, equity and internal accruals.
