Powerica Ltd won a 50 megawatt wind power project in a reverse auction conducted by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd on July 9, 2026. The company bid a tariff of ₹3.51 per unit, a 2.77% discount to the tender's start price, in a competitive process for 250 MW of grid-connected wind projects. The award will require Powerica to sign a direct power purchase agreement with GUVNL and build the project using its in-house engineering capabilities. The company already operates 330.85 MW of wind projects under long-term PPAs with GUVNL and SECI. This additional 50 MW expands its total wind portfolio to about 380 MW, with revenue from the new project expected to commence once construction is complete.
