Prime Focus-backed Brahma AI raised $150 million through an equity issuance led by Multiples at a $2 billion post-money valuation. The company said it had received a further $100 million of investor demand and would evaluate an increase of the round to accommodate some or all of that interest. The transaction was subject to customary approvals. The financing built on board approval for a $100 million primary issue into Brahma AI Holdings and Brahma AI Services India at ₹1,909.77 per share, with a broader $150 million round targeted. Prime Focus said it would remain the largest economic holder with about 66% economic ownership after dilution for the raise, employee pool and founder equity, with the businesses to operate independently under founder Prabhu Narasimhan and deconsolidate to associates. Brahma AI carried a revenue run-rate of about $100 million alongside an order book and visible pipeline of about $1 billion for FY27 and beyond. Prime Focus reported consolidated revenue of about ₹4,587 crore in FY26 and net debt of ₹4,138 crore at the end of March.

LOS ANGELES, July 23 (Reuters) - Indian actors Ranbir Kapoor and Yash arrived at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday to promote "Ramayana," a two-part film adaptation of one of Hinduism's most revered epics.
Kapoor, who plays Prince Rama, said appearing at the convention was a significant moment for the production as it seeks to introduce the ancient story to a global audience.
"I've always been a fan of comic conventions," Kapoor told Reuters. "To finally be here on the other side with a story, which is so ingrained in our culture, to bring that to a larger audience, it's really a proud moment for our entire team."
The film is based on the Ramayana, which dates back thousands of years and is a cornerstone of Indian culture.
The epic tells the story of Prince Rama, regarded as an incarnation of the Hindu deity Vishnu, who is exiled for 14 years alongside his wife Sita, played by Sai Pallavi, and brother Lakshmana, played by Ravi Dubey.
After Sita is abducted, Rama confronts Ravana, the king of Lanka, portrayed by Yash.
Yash said Comic-Con was an ideal venue to showcase the project that will be distributed by Prime Focus Studios because of its audience's appreciation for large-scale fantasy storytelling.
"I think this is the right kind of crowd who really understand the nuances of this kind of film and the effort that goes behind it," he said. "If they're excited, they're the most important people."
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, "Ramayana" has a reported budget of about $500 million and will be released in two parts. The first installment is scheduled to open in India on November 8 during the Diwali holiday, while the second is planned for release in 2027.
The filmmakers have mounted an international promotional campaign, including appearances in the United States and Britain, as they seek to attract audiences beyond India.
Kapoor said he was optimistic about the film's prospects.
"This one is a bit more special than a normal film," he said. "I have a good feeling about it."

Prime Focus Ltd has emerged from insolvency proceedings after the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal on July 10 set aside the Mumbai NCLT’s earlier admission order and closed the corporate insolvency resolution process against the company. The tribunal discharged the interim resolution professional, lifted the moratorium, and restored the company’s board of directors to full control. The NCLAT was also informed that no claims had been received against the company and that the parties had arrived at a conditional understanding to resolve their disputes. The ruling, which comes after a series of interim stays, effectively ends the insolvency threat that had clouded Prime Focus since early May. The company stated it continues to operate in the ordinary course and will disclose the written order once received.
