Kothari Sugars and Chemicals scheduled a meeting of its unsecured creditors for 13 November 2026 through video conferencing to consider the amalgamation of the company into Kothari Petrochemicals, with remote e-voting during 10-12 November and a cut-off of 31 July 2026. The scheme provides for one fully paid equity share of Kothari Petrochemicals of Rs10 each for every five shares of Kothari Sugars, supported by a joint valuation report dated 19 May 2026 and a fairness opinion from Saffron Capital Advisors, alongside a no-objection observation letter from the National Stock Exchange dated 19 August 2026. Amounts due as on 31 July 2026 stood at Rs25.42 crore to secured creditors and Rs16.20 crore to unsecured creditors, and the explanatory statement set out the pre- and post-scheme shareholding and asset details. The National Company Law Tribunal, Chennai had directed the 13 November shareholder and unsecured-creditor votes in an order pronounced on 30 September.
