STEAG Energy Services (India), a wholly-owned step-down subsidiary of Bluspring Enterprises, has been awarded a comprehensive operations and maintenance contract for a 1,215 MW captive power plant belonging to Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited. The contract, valued at an estimated aggregate consideration of ₹1,437.17 crores plus taxes, will run for five years commencing August 1, 2026. The plant comprises nine units of 135 MW each and was secured in a competitive process. This is the second major O&M order STEAG has bagged from a Vedanta Group entity in recent weeks, following a ₹1,219.85 crore contract for a separate 1,800 MW plant announced earlier. Both deals significantly expand STEAG’s long-term service portfolio under Bluspring’s ownership.

The five-year agreement, commencing July 1, 2026, carries an estimated aggregate value of ₹1,219.85 crores. The plant, which was originally awarded to STEAG by Vedanta Limited, comprises three units of 600 MW each and will be maintained under a comprehensive O&M scope including additional services. Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited is part of the Vedanta Group, and the contract does not involve any related-party transaction with Bluspring. This win comes closely after STEAG’s ₹2,049.8 crore O&M deal with Vedanta’s BALCO unit announced earlier, underscoring the subsidiary's strengthening ties with the group.
