Dec 18 (Reuters) - Italian stationery maker FILA FILA.MI has initiated the sale of up to 4.57% of shares in its Indian unit DOMS DOMS.NS, it said on Wednesday.

The stake sale is being conducted through an accelerated bookbuilding (ABB) process starting on Wednesday, offering up to 2,773,407 ordinary shares in the Indian firm, FILA said.

"The placement is aimed at increasing the free float of the company, improving the liquidity of its shares and attracting new investors to the share capital," FILA said in a statement.

The Italian company, which listed its unit in India last December, holds about 30.58% of DOMS' share capital and is set to reduce its stake to no less than 26.01% following the completion of the placement that includes a 90-day lock-up period for the buyer.

FILA shares traded some 6% higher in Milan at 1210 GMT.

Dec 4 (Reuters) - Italian stationery maker FILA FILA.MI said on Monday its Indian unit DOMS Industries had filed an IPO prospectus with the registrar of companies of Gujarat, India, and the offer will be open from Dec. 13 until Dec. 15.

Milan-listed FILA, which holds a 51% stake in the company, is selling shares worth ₹8 billion ($95.91 million).

After the offer period closes, DOMS shares are expected to start trading by Dec. 31, FILA said.

BENGALURU, Aug 22 (Reuters) - Indian stationery maker Doms Industries has filed for an initial public offering worth 12 billion rupees ($144.53 million), draft papers filed with the market regulator showed on Tuesday.

Doms will issue new shares worth 3.5 billion rupees, while existing shareholders will sell shares worth 8.5 billion rupees, the draft prospectus showed.

Milan-listed FILA Fabbrica Italiana Lapis ed Affini SpA FILA.MI, which holds a 51% stake in the company, is selling shares worth 8 billion rupees.

Doms, which competes with Kokuyo Camlin KOCL.NS, Linc LINC.NS and Pidilite Industries PIDI.NS, aims to use proceeds from the fresh issue of shares to partly finance the cost of setting up a new manufacturing facility, it said.

Kokuyo Camlin shares surged 71% and Linc 53% so far this year amid strong demand for stationery post the pandemic. They outpaced a 7% rise in the blue-chip Nifty 50 .NSEI, which has retreated from record highs due to moderating foreign inflows, worries over U.S. Federal Reserve's interest rate hikes and growth concerns in China.

Pidilite, which makes industrial adhesives and chemicals, has slipped 2% this year.

Doms posted a net profit of 958.1 million rupees in fiscal 2023, a near seven-fold jump from a year earlier. Its revenue surged 77% to 12.12 billion rupees.

JM Financial, BNP Paribas, ICICI Securities and IIFL Securities are book-running lead managers to Doms' IPO.

MILAN, May 31 (Reuters) - Italian pencils and creative tools maker F.I.L.A. FILA.MI said on Wednesday it was exploring options to support its Indian business.

The Italian group is looking at an initial public offering among the options for its unit Doms, with the aim of maintaining control over its strategies, a source close to the matter said on Wednesday.

Earlier this year, IFR reported that Indian stationery company DOMS Industries was working with ICICI Securities, IIFL Securities and JM Financial on a domestic IPO worth around $100 million, according to people with knowledge of the transaction.

The Italian group expects a mid-single digit organic revenue growth in 2023, led by India and Mexico and boosted by a recovery in North America.
