Brahmaputra Infrastructure emerged as the lowest bidder for an Rs 89.73 crore bridge project in Pathankot, Punjab, in the name of the BIL-GKCPL joint venture. The project covered construction of a 44-span high-level major bridge of 36.5 metres each totalling 1,606 metres over the River Ravi at Makoura Pattan with 4,144 metres of approaches across Gurdaspur and Pathankot districts under the CRIF scheme, with a 24-month execution period from receipt of the formal letter of award which was still awaited. The tender was floated by the Executive Engineer, Construction Division, PWD B&R Branch, Pathankot, was domestic in nature and involved no related-party interest. The company's consolidated order book stood at about Rs 1,600 crore at 31 August after August billing, with about Rs 890 crore executable in 18 months across buildings, roads and bridges, railways and tunnels and river protection.
