Akme Fintrade (India) Ltd. said its board on June 29 approved an increase in borrowing limits to Rs 1,200 crore, compared with a market capitalisation of around Rs 443 crore. The proposal, which requires shareholder approval at the forthcoming annual meeting, would give the nano-cap non-bank lender room to expand its loan book significantly. The board also approved the conversion of 1 crore warrants held by Stellant Securities into equity shares at Rs 7 apiece, bringing in Rs 5.25 crore, and the conversion of 3 lakh older warrants into 30 lakh shares at Rs 11.10 each. Authorised share capital was raised to Rs 60 crore from Rs 50 crore, and the board recommended the appointment of Shyam S. Gupta & Associates as statutory auditors.
