Introducing Fitpage
Running today is one of the most accessible forms of exercise to stay fit. All you need is a pair of shoes and some determination to get out :). It’s considered good for cardiovascular health and relieves stress for some. There are more than 3 million active runners in India and everyone has their unique story on why they started running. Many people turn to running for social and community connections.
Running perhaps is the only sport that is age and gender inclusive. You will often find men, women, young and elderly running together at parks and on roads. One of our goals at Rainmatter is to make participatory sports that enable staying healthy and fit more accessible to Indians.
We met Vikas, the founder of Fitpage and were impressed with his background and the work he has done to encourage the running culture in India.
How can we get more Indians to run? Teach them, coach them and provide them an opportunity to showcase their efforts. Running is a sport where everyone who participates, is a winner and also gets a medal. That’s exactly what Fitpage is working towards: they educate through their content, coach through their app and set up running events where you can go and show off your hard work.
In 2020, fitpage started with a science-backed content platform for cardiovascular fitness. Today, they service more than 120,000 runners annually through their races and training programs. They also work in 30 cities through their offline fitness programs with the corporates.
Fitpage owns India Running which is the largest marketplace for registration of running events in the country. India Running also provides a SAAS platform for race organizers and it organizes 10 running events in the year.
They want to bring people outdoors to enjoy walking, and running and celebrate fitness together with friends, family and the community at large.
Here’s Vikas Singh, the founder of Fitpage, talking about his journey.
About Fitpage
India loves to walk and jog which is extremely important for one’s cardiovascular health. The good health of the heart and lungs is central to overall health, and we want to democratize access to this form of fitness for people.
Everyone is unique and needs a different plan that works to their abilities. Our app brings together nutrition, fitness, and recovery through walking & running. The app is focused on audio-guided, beginner-specific walk-and-run programs that improve cardiovascular fitness. Heart fitness is critical to human existence and comes before all other types of exercise interventions.
The app can test the cardiovascular fitness of anyone in less than 10 minutes through our fit500 test which provides a unique score to everyone who completes the test. This test result works as a baseline and is unique to everyone. As an individual improves their fitness, the fit500 score changes too. All related workout intensities change as per the score thereby making it personalized to everyone’s fitness.
“People do not need fancy gyms or expensive diets to get fitter. They need education and motivation to be able to make informed decisions about their health. We are trying to do just that. Our goal at Fitpage is to offer this education & training through an integrated platform where these are highly personalized.”
You can find numerous running events to participate in your local city here.

How is fitpage different from Strava and what value addition does it get for me?
Great to see Rainmatter partnering with Fitpage. I have been running for the past 3-4 quarters & haven’t found an activity as energising, refreshing & relaxing at the same time ( specially in Bangalore morning outdoors).
Prepping for Wipro Bengaluru HM & Tata Steel Kolkata 25K now with my running tribe 🔥🔥
Always glad to be part of such amazing events in Bangalore or can contribute in any way for uplifting others!
