Introducing instant withdrawals
You can now withdraw funds within seconds from your Zerodha account to your primary bank account using the Instant Withdrawal feature for free. However, for instant withdrawals, you must ensure the following:
- Submit the instant withdrawal requests only once per day between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM on all days, including weekends.
- Place the request for a minimum of ₹100 and up to ₹1,00,000 per day.
- You must not have any orders (completed, cancelled, or partially filled) or positions (open or closed) other than Cash and Carry (CNC) sell orders.
To place an instant withdrawal request:
- Tap on your user ID.
- Tap on Funds.
- Tap on Withdraw.
- Tap on Instant.
- Enter the amount you want to withdraw.
- Tap on Continue, and then on Continue.
Note
- You cannot use the instant withdrawal feature to withdraw funds you added during the day.
- If any segments have cancelled orders, except for equity CNC sell orders, instant withdrawal will be unavailable.
- Instant withdrawal is currently not supported by Paytm Payments Bank.
- Timings for instant withdrawal are subject to change. The latest timings are updated on Console on the withdrawal page.
- There are no charges for withdrawing funds instantly.

I raised a fund withdrawal of ₹16,000/- when the balance was ₹32,000/-. To my surprise the ₹12,000/- odd was credited. There no means of contacting Zerodha. That to many complecations in contacting.
Hi, if you place a withdrawal request for an amount higher than the withdrawable balance, the available withdrawable balance will be credited to your bank account. We’ve explained this in detail here. If you have further queries, please create a ticket from article shared.
The instant withdrawal feature is not “instant” at all. Now when i try to raise the ticket they have blocked me from the site
I applied for instant withdrawal. But it showed me some timeout error. Then I tried again, it tells me I don’t have sufficient funds in my account.
In the funds screen, it shows payout amount which I tried to withdraw. But I haven’t received anything in my account.

Poor support and feature!
Poor support because on 13th July i placed instant withdrawal and I was told due to HDFC Bank maintenance, the money will be credited by end of 13th July, but today is 14th July, my money is not still credited to my account. It’s frustrating for people when they need their own money immediately.
And poor feature because the instant withdrawal feature isn’t credited in seconds.. sometimes takes the whole day!
The only reason I’m still trading in zerodha is because of good technical feature. Else zerodha is the worst broker in terms of support!

Hi, I have a question regarding instant withdrawal, suppose I have put 1.50 lacs in my demat on Thursday and bought and sold option contracts on thursday with the entire amount, can I put withdrawal request on thursday after all my orders are fulfilled and I do not have any open position.
Or I would have to wait for Friday.
As you have said without any orders in your video even completed also so please explain regarding this.
Hi Saurabh, as you have placed orders on Thursday, you will not be able to withdraw funds instantly. You can however withdraw on Friday.

Hi Chetan, yes you can place instant withdrawal requests on weekends as well.
The transfer is not instant at all. First the app won’t register a withdrawal request. After so many tries when it does, it is still in the pending state. Like, how long do I have to wait? Just don’t call it instant please.

After selling a stock 80% of sold value is being credited in trading account, but can’t be drawn immediately. But now they brought this feature of instant drawing of below one lakh. Nice feature.
Useless feature for clients. After selling a stock, the balance will be shown to your account after 2days. After that you can withdraw instantly. That is already there, only Weekend and Holiday is added. Good marketing tool to attract clients but no significant benefit to the clients.

This is the most hopeless feature of zerodha which never works even if one has ample amount of funds in account with not a single order pending. Always gives error.

One request , regarding GTT order. I have placed GTT Sell order two times ( On 27th May & today 30th May) . On both days my order triggered but not executed. I am getting error message Authorization CDSL TPIN. But I could not understand while placing GTT sell order Zerodha system don’t ask TPIN and OTP.
One thing I would like to mention here while placing normal sell order , Zerodha system ask for TPIN and OTP but for GTT sell order it never asked me these details. If you have some video on GTT sell order, may please send a link. I think I am doing some mistake but not able to pin point. Please help.
Hi Rambabu, for GTT sell orders, you’ll have to pre-authorize the sell order since the order is placed only when the trigger condition is met. You can pre-authorise it, as explained here. Alternatively, if you wish to avoid the TPIN, you can activate the DDPI, explained here.

– Even if one wants to place an Instant Withdrawal request on a weekend, there will still be Positions (ongoing trades)

It is also a good gesture to allow instant withdrawals on Saturday and Sunday. If I rehearse with buy and sell orders with stoploss orders and cancelled, then could I place instant withdrawals on Saturday or Sunday when trading is normally not done.

This decision will somehow save a bit money for a trader to spend residual money on himself. Usually trading is an addiction. And suppose a person has put in 1Lakh in the account, he won’t stop trading till this money becomes zero. And on top of that if there are restrictions on withdrawing money then a trader’s basic instinct will again provoke him to trade, ultimately he will loose all his money even if he had earned something. The ultimate winner will be broker and government who levies 7 types of taxes on a trade. So best way to save money is not to trade. One of my friends did the right thing, he had closed all his dmat accounts long ago but I didn’t and kept trading and lost 16-20L in trading. Had I invested this money it would have been 50 lakhs today.

Indeed this is a good feature and a good step towards giving more flexibility to users. But I need some clarification. In case of CNC Buy orders are open then the required margin is blocked and rest funds are free. Then why you are not providing an option to instantly withdraw the rest of the unblocked funds in case of CNC buy orders.
