Introducing mutual fund tracking on Kite
Kite and Coin are two of our primary transaction platforms. Kite is designed for active traders, while Coin is meant for long-term investors who invest in mutual funds. Given the different use cases and audiences they are aimed at, we have kept both the platforms separate. Combining them would clutter the interface with features only relevant to some users.
Keeping these products separate gives them individual identities and allows for constant improvement without affecting other products.
Introducing mutual fund tracking on Kite
Having said that, one common request from our customers over the years has been for a single view to track all investments across stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. Users could already do this on Console along with rich portfolio analytics, but we have now added mutual fund tracking on Kite. You can view and manage all your investments directly on Kite Web.
To view your mutual fund investments on Kite web:
- Log in to your Kite account and go to the Holdings section
- Click the new tab labeled “Mutual Funds” to view all your investments
You can also manage your mutual fund investments from Kite:
- Click on More
- And then click on Add to invest more or Exit to redeem holdings
To view the purchase dates of your mutual fund investments, click on View Breakdown.
And to see how your investments are distributed across sectors and companies, click on Fund overview.
Note: This feature is currently available only on Kite Web but will soon be available on the Kite app.
why do u put debt instrument like SGB/GovtBonds/Trsury bills in the Equity Tab. also ETF also need another tab like mutual funds
this is very informative by ajju
Thanks for incorporating MFs icon in Kite web.Hope this facility too be available on Kite App.
At present ETFs are mingled in Kite and it becomes difficult to find p& l across all ETFs.As number of ETFs is too small as compared to shares, kindly give similar icons for ETFs on the lines of MFs.
Hope it too find favourable from your side.
You have been updating Webpage and App to make it customer friendly.keep it up
Again requesting different icon for ETFs on lines of MFs
Hi Rajinder, we’ve noted your feedback and will discuss it with our team. Thanks
When we open the mutual fund holding or all holding – I want to see an option of grouped viewing (ICICI direct has it since ages).
Example: when I open mutual fund section I want to see grouping by: Liquid, Other Debt, Hybrid, Equity.
When I open just direct equity holding – it has elements like Goldcase, liquidcase, nifty bees, or direct stock holdings – Please group them into stuff like that: Equity ETFs, Debt ETF, Commodity ETF, Direct stock holding
In case of “all”: Provide further summarised grouping
Long awaited… Will all mfs purchased in demat form?
Hi Nishendu, all mutual funds purchased through Coin are already held in demat form. The same applies for orders placed via Kite.
Yes I do like this post
Great! Kudos to the Team.
A few suggestions: if Zerodha implements it, it’ll become a more powerful tool for investors.
– Rectify the “Holdings discrepancies” for all the listed NCDs in Kite’s holding window. Holdings discrepancies do not give a clear picture of invested value vs. current value.
– Bring in the option to bid for new open NCD issues in Kite. I have to use different providers just to bid for New NCD issues.
– Increase the limit of the maximum number of secondary bank account linkages in our demat account from 2 to more.
Hi Dixit, your concern has been communicated to the relevant department. We’ll look into the possibilities.
As for the discrepancies, please create a ticket at support.zerodha.com so we can look into this.
Congratulations
Congrats to the team. Like this if you are able to separate SGB from equity holding tabs it would be good to evaluate only stocks in Equity tab.
Hi Param, thanks for the feedback. Your concern has been communicated to the relevant department.
Kindly bring SIP option as well on kite web for mutual funds against ADD action button.
Facility to see MF portfolio extended in web kite version may be extended to mobile apps.
Most awaited feature personally waiting for this update from a long time
I want to view my all mutual funds in several AMC’s at a single place at kite or coin ,Will it possible?
Hi Dinesh, currently, this feature is available only for mutual funds invested through Coin.
Would be nice if it’s possible on the mobile Kite too.
Hi Jagannath, this will soon be available on the Kite app.
One of the popular platform now a day’s 👍
Useful tool for good investment decision making.
Kindly make an update while raising GTT , first thing cones on tab is sell and that also entire stocks. I hope this is ok in emergency situations. But unfortunately I work on a ship where internet is very sluggish. Many times my entire stock has gone at a low price as my internet was slow n not working at times. If possible make changes to this regard.
Will it show the Mf investments only done via Zerodha or all existing ones(external) also ? Will it fetch the data via PAN number ?
Hi Tripti, only your mutual fund investments made via Coin can be tracked on Kite.
Enable display of day gain % and amount of holdings in SORT option. While all the trading platforms provde this useful feature in display, ZERODHA fails to comply inspite of repeated requests. Anybody in Zerodha prepared to act on suggestions for improvements.
Kite Web me login karne k liye” scan to login “from app aisa feature add 200 saalo de demand kar rahe hai but aap vo sunoge nhi mujhe pura yakin hai
Hi Kartik, your feedback has been noted. We will check into the possibilities.

I am planning for next year ( April 25 onwards)
Hope you will guide me.
Thanks and Regards
Rajesh Shah
Hi Rajesh, we’ve explained the pledging process here.
You can invest in Gold and Silver ETFs, which are listed on the stock exchange, just like equity shares. More here.
Bahut bahut dhanyawad samaj yugo yugo tak aapka ऋणी rahega
Please add the features like directly trade from charts un kite app it is the most important features
Hi Deependra, we’re working on it. Will keep you posted.
Very beneficial for my mutual fund investments. I needed this type of facility. Hope to see in android app also. Also I would request you to make auto pay from my bank account for annual charges.
Thank you Zerodha.
how to add existing mutual funds?
Hi Ankur, you cannot directly add existing mutual funds to your account. Instead you can transfer them using the process mentioned here.
I do not support this. Let them be separate or else psychology of the individuals will change. They’ll forget when to be a trader and when to be an investor.
Bad move
How to transfer stocks from other app to zerodha??
Hi, we’ve explained the process here.
It could have been great it shows mutual funds purchased not only by coin app 🙂
Please Enable this feature on kite Android phone app also.
Hi, this will soon be available on the Kite app.
Does it support to track my investments outside zerodha, external ones
Hi Madhu, only your mutual fund investments made via Coin can be tracked on Kite.
give this option in kite app also
Hi Raj, this will soon be available on the Kite app.
I am startling 🥰
Enable the same on Kite App also
Hi Chandan, this will soon be available on the Kite app.
Mutual Fund tracking details should also be available on Kite app.
Hi Subrata, this will soon be available on the Kite app.
Very good! Also, you should one Class column to show it if Equity, MF, Bond, etc.
Further, Angel One, adjust the Avg. Price & added quantity for purchases of equity immediately upon buying stocks. So, this should also be added.
Thank you,
Shakeel
Good moments.
This is definitely a nice feature. Thanks
Nice
This is Good! It would be good if Holdings can be divided into multiple user defined dashboards and allow a few columns (fundamental or technical) that user can add on the holding page.
Good feature but imo, not the most pressing issue right now.
BHAIYA MERE JO PUBLIC DEMAND KER RAHI HI VO THO FEATURE ADD KARO, APNE AAP JO KAR RAHE HO VO THIK, KUCH PUBLIC KI SUN LO
DHAYWADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.
Hello
Does ur console displays mutual funds and other holdings only if it is purchased through zerodha ???
Thank you.
Wohh… Fine
Zero star services
Hi Mahendra, we’re sorry to hear this. What seems to be the issue? Please help us understand the difficulties you are facing by creating a ticket at support.zerodha.com so we can check on this.
Good
Nice! But is it limited to only the MFs invested via Zerodha or will just pull up all MFs basis PAN details?
Hi Umang, this is limited to mutual funds invested through Coin.
How to divert all the mutual funds to the kite or coin app from groww app
Hi Pritesh, we’ve explained the process here.
When is it coming on the app?
Hi Vinayaj, this will soon be available on the Kite app. We’ll keep you posted.
Thank you for adding New Tab Mutual fund. Similarly it will be better if you add one more tab for ETF and separate ETF from Equity holding it will be convenient for tracking. Please consider it on priority.
Thanking You

Hi Ashok, your concern has been communicated to the relevant department. We’ll look into the possibilities.
Very goo
d for investors
Please update one more feature to check ‘Today’s profit or loss’ tab
Hi Shreyas, you can check the profit or loss change percentage in the ‘Day Change’ column on Kite.
Hi
Can I view my NRI MF investments under my NRE trading AC in Zerodha website?
John
Hi John, if you hold mutual fund investments via Coin, you can track them on Kite.
If you want track all Holdings with different Depository and MF in one place then I suggest you use Smallcase App or TickerTape.
It would be good if Zerodha introduced a feature that allows users to track not only mutual funds invested via Coin but also all mutual funds, regardless of the platform where they were invested.
PLS GIVE THE OPTION FOR BID OF NEW NCD
Can we also see the direct investments in Mutual funds
Hi Nagaraj, couldn’t quite get what you are referring to. Could you please elaborate?
can we see our past mutual funds investments done on other apps here on kite mutual funds tab???
Hi Rushabh, po, past mutual fund investments made on other apps cannot be viewed in the Kite Mutual Funds tab.
Very good move, proving Zerodha means innovations innumerable.Good keep it up.
Great! But i want to see all the stock and mutual fund at one place. I mean all investments on my PAN number on one place, not only from kite and coin
This is good, but I would like to track other brokers equity on Kite dashboard. Hope that unveils soon
pls add the column of 52 week high and 52 week low of each mutual fund .it wll be great help to investors
Hi Arvindgiri, will bounce this off our team. Thanks for the feedback.
Nothing new on this, it was already there.
If possible introduce a new features like “Switch to Trading view” like option chaing on ChartIQ
fine.why not do same in holding in console as well
Superb
Wonderful Option, finally Zerodha has realized the need. Makes a lot of sense.
