
Lenskart plans to file Rs 100 crore IPO this week
Lenskart, backed by SoftBank Group Corp, is planning to file for an IPO of Rs 100 crore this week. The company is yet to submit its DRHP with SEBI.
Lenskart founded in 2008, by Amit Chaudhary, Peyush Bansal, and Sumeet Kapahi, is a D2C eyewear brand, and operates in 175 cities in India, Singapore and Dubai. The company has expanded its business through its private label brand, John Jacobs, and Japanese eyewear brand Owndays after acquiring the majority stake in it.
The company is backed by global investors like Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, KKR & Co., and TPG Inc. In FY24, the company recorded a revenue of Rs 5609.88 crores. Currently, the company has a valuation of $6.1 billion.
