BENGALURU, Nov 10 (Reuters) - India's financial crime agency has seized property worth about 249.5 million rupees ($3 million) belonging to Hero MotoCorp HROM.NS Chairman Pawan Munjal in relation to an ongoing money laundering investigation, the agency said on Friday.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) said it seized three properties in New Delhi, under the country's provisions of The Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.

This takes the total value of seizures and attachments in the case to about 500 million rupees, it added.

Hero did not immediately respond to a Reuters' request for comment, while Munjal could not be immediately reached for comment.

Last month, Delhi Police registered a case against Hero and Munjal on allegations of forgery and fraud by Brains Logistics, which provided manpower services to the two-wheeler maker.

BENGALURU, Oct 9 (Reuters) - India's Delhi Police has registered a case against Hero MotoCorp HROM.NS and its chairman, Pawan Munjal, on allegations of forgery and fraud, according to a police representative and a copy of the first information report seen by Reuters on Monday.

The report (FIR), filed by Brains Logistics, accused the company, Munjal and others of forgery and falsifying account books. Brains Logistics provided manpower services to Hero.

Hero, in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange, said the matter dated back to 2009-10 and that Hero had also registered an FIR against Brains Logistics in 2013. The matter is ongoing before the court, Hero added.

The latest FIR adds to a list of troubles faced by Hero and Munjal.

Indian tax authorities had investigated Hero's relationship with a vendor suspected of reporting about 900 million rupees ($11 million) in false expenditure, Reuters reported in August.

That was after the country's Enforcement Directorate (ED) recovered assets worth $3 million from Munjal following a money-laundering investigation.

BENGALURU, Aug 2 (Reuters) - India's Enforcement Directorate (ED) has recovered assets worth $3 million from Hero MotoCorp's HROM.NS chairperson, Pawan Kant Munjal, and others, following a money-laundering investigation, the agency said on Wednesday.

The agency's probe follows complaints that 540 million rupees ($6.53 million) worth of foreign currency and other valuable items were illegally moved to offshore locations by Hero's third-party vendor that was later used by Munjal for his personal expenses, it said in a statement.

The ED has recovered foreign currency, cash, gold, and diamond jewelry worth about 250 million rupees, after it conducted searches at 12 premises owned by the company and its promoter, the agency said.

Hero, which is India's largest two-wheeler maker, said on Tuesday that officials from the agency had visited its offices in Delhi and Gurugram as well as Munjal's residence.

The ED's actions come after the Ministry of Corporate Affairs in June had ordered an investigation into Hero's relationship with the third-party vendor, Salt Experience and Management, in a case related to the alleged diversion of funds.

Hero was also under the scrutiny of India's income tax authorities last year which was termed as "routine inquiry" by the company.

Hero shares closed 3.5% lower on Wednesday.
