First Gen Forms Strategic Partnership with Prime Infra, Selling 60% Stake in Gas Business
First Gen Corporation has entered into a strategic partnership with Prime Infrastructure Capital, Inc. (Prime Infra), in which Prime Infra will acquire a 60% equity stake in First Gen's gas business. This transaction involves Prime Infra taking a majority share in several power plants in Batangas City, including the 1000 MW Santa Rita Power Plant and the proposed 1200 MW Santa Maria Power Plant, among others, as well as the Interim Offshore LNG Terminal. The acquisition is valued at PHP 50 billion, with potential additional earn-out amounts for First Gen.
