Not everyone can monitor positions throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p>With GTT, you can place long-validity orders for your commodity futures and options on MCX. Once set, these remain active for up to one year, until expiry, or until triggered, whichever comes first. This allows you to plan your entry or exit in advance instead of tracking price movements constantly. <a href=\"https:\/\/support.zerodha.com\/category\/trading-and-markets\/charts-and-orders\/gtt\/articles\/what-is-the-good-till-triggered-gtt-feature\">Learn more about GTT orders here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You can also place stoploss and target using GTT while taking positions by selecting the Stoploss and Target options in the order window.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image3.png\" width=\"671\" height=\"485\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you already hold a position, you can create a GTT from the context menu in Positions or Marketwatch. Any changes to a GTT order can be made by going to Orders &gt; GTT.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image1-1.gif\" width=\"752\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>MCX info widget<\/h2>\n<p>Unlike equity derivatives, commodity contracts don\u2019t follow a single structure. Expiry dates differ across products. Some contracts move into a tender period. Lot sizes and tick sizes vary. Trading hours aren\u2019t uniform. Settlement can be physical or cash, depending on the contract.<\/p>\n<p>To reduce confusion, we\u2019ve added the MCX Info Widget.
