As traders and investors, we usually do not delete items from our watchlists\u2014we just keep adding new stocks and F&amp;O contracts that interest us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you are keeping an eye on many instruments, scrolling through a long list becomes really hard. Even with multiple watchlists, finding and watching specific instruments is still a challenge. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That&#8217;s exactly the problem we wanted to fix.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/E3dS_gI0EJo\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Which is why we have completely redesigned the Marketwatch experience on Kite Web. Here\u2019s what\u2019s new on the Marketwatch:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>More space<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; 25 watchlists (up from 7) and 250 instruments per list (up from 100)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Custom groups<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; Organise instruments within each watchlist by sectors, strategies, or themes<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Ready-made watchlists<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; Access to pre-built collections for major indices and sectors<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These changes make it easy to organise your market tracking. You can now put all your banking stocks together, separate from your IT stocks, or keep your short-term trading ideas in a different section from your long-term investments\u2014all within the same watchlist.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here&#8217;s a detailed look at each new feature:<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>More space for your instruments<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the increased limits, organising your watchlists is now flexible:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can create up to 25 different watchlists instead of just 7<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each watchlist can hold up to 250 instruments instead of the previous 100<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We have added up and down arrow buttons for easy scrolling through large watchlists<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-413997\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/new-1-1.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1727\" height=\"872\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These bigger limits make it easy to organise everything from long lists of stocks to F&amp;O contracts or other instruments you&#8217;re tracking.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Custom Groups<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now let us look at the new groups feature.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Groups let you sort instruments within a single watchlist. You can create multiple groups in any watchlist, name each group however you want &#8211; like <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Auto sector<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IT sector<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, or <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finance sector<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; and even give different colours to each group to make them easier to spot.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Managing these groups is simple:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can collapse or expand a group by clicking on the group name or by pressing the space button on your keyboard.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-413996\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/new-2-1.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1727\" height=\"872\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can minimise or maximise the group by clicking on the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">minimize\/maximize<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> icon.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-413995\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/new-3-1.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1727\" height=\"872\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To rename a group, just click the pencil icon and type a new name.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-413994\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/new-4-1.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1727\" height=\"872\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can move groups around by dragging them where you want them.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-413993\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/new-5-1.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1727\" height=\"872\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you want to move an entire group to a different watchlist, just click <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, select <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Move<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, choose which watchlist you want to move it to, and click <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Move<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-413992\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/new-6.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1727\" height=\"872\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can also sort the instruments within any group. Click <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, then <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sort<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and you can arrange them by percentage change, last price, alphabetically, or by exchange.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-413998\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/compressed-7.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1727\" height=\"872\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Just remember that while you can have as many groups as you need in a watchlist, you can still only have 250 instruments total in that watchlist.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moving your instruments between groups is super easy with our drag-and-drop feature.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All you need to do is click and hold the drag icon next to any instrument, then drag it to your desired group and let go.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-413999\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/compressed-8.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1727\" height=\"872\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example, if you accidentally put a tech stock in your Finance group, you can easily drag it over to your IT group where it belongs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Or let us say you started with a broad <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Energy stocks<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> group, but later wanted to split it into more specific categories like <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Renewable Energy<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oil &amp; Gas<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. You can easily move specific stocks to their right groups with this drag-and-drop feature.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Organising your options strategies<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The custom groups feature is useful for options traders who need to monitor multiple strike prices as part of a single strategy. For instance, you can use <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Groups<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to track all four legs of an <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/varsity\/chapter\/iron-condor\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Iron Condor<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in one place. Just create a new group and name it &#8220;Iron Condor&#8221; to monitor this four-legged option strategy. Within this group, add:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two out-of-the-money (OTM) call options at different strike prices<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two out-of-the-money (OTM) put options at different strike prices<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Screenshot-2025-05-17-204742-4.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This setup helps you see the full risk profile of your Iron Condor position and watch all four legs as one cohesive strategy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For volatility-based strategies like straddles and strangles, create specific groups with descriptive names:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a &#8220;Straddles&#8221; group: Add matching call and put options at the same strike prices<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a &#8220;Strangles&#8221; group: Add OTM call and put options at different strike prices<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The color-coding feature makes it even easier to distinguish between different strategy types. For instance, you could use green for your bullish strategies and red for bearish ones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Screenshot-2025-05-17-210513-1.png\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><b>Managing multiple expiries<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you&#8217;re tracking strategies across different expiry dates, you could create separate groups for each expiry. For example:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">June Iron Condor<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">July Straddles<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Weekly Strangles<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Screenshot-2025-05-17-211222-1.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This organisation makes rolling over positions or comparing performance across different expiry cycles easier.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Managing your Watchlists<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creating and managing your watchlists is just as easy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can press <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CTRL + Shift + K<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or click the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Create\/Manage Marketwatches<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> icon to get started.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-414001\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/create-watch.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1732\" height=\"872\" srcset=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/create-watch.png 1732w, https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/create-watch-300x151.png 300w, https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/create-watch-1024x516.png 1024w, https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/create-watch-768x387.png 768w, https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/create-watch-1536x773.png 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1732px) 100vw, 1732px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From here, you can see all your existing watchlists, create new ones, and rename or delete watchlists as needed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your watchlists are now organised in two sections to help you find them more easily:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Favourites<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> section shows your top watchlists &#8211; up to 7 of them &#8211; that appear under the numbers at the bottom of your screen for quick access.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Others<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> section contains all your remaining watchlists.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adding a watchlist to your <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Favourites<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is as simple as dragging and dropping it there. Just remember, you&#8217;re limited to 7 favourites, and each watchlist will appear under the position where you place it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-413991\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/new-9.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1727\" height=\"872\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><b>Ready-made Watchlists<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We&#8217;ve also added pre-defined watchlists in the new <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Discover<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> section, offering ready-made collections of instruments across different themes &#8211; like stocks from the Nifty 50 index, specific sector indexes like Auto or Bank, and many more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Using these pre-defined watchlists is simple:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Just click on any pre-built watchlist to see all its stocks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you like what you see, click the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add to My Lists<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> button to add it to your watchlists.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You will notice these added watchlists have a lock icon. This means they will update automatically. For example, if you add the Nifty 50 index watchlist, your list will automatically update whenever stocks are added to or removed from the Nifty 50.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you want to customise a pre-built watchlist, just click the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Customise<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> icon and then <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Continue<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
