When you see a promising pattern on your charts or when your technical indicators signal a potential trade, you need to act fast. Until now, this meant moving between chart analysis and order placement screens, which required extra steps during important market moments.<\/p>\n<p>Trade from Charts (TFC) on TradingView charts has been one of the most requested features, and we are happy to bring it to Kite web. Now you can place orders directly from your TradingView (TV) charts without switching screens. Spot an opportunity and act on it immediately, all in one view.<\/p>\n<p>If you are using ChartIQ and want to switch to TradingView, go to <em>My Profile<\/em> on Kite web, scroll down, and click on <em>TradingView.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><iframe width=\"100%\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Xs8tt8lPOXc\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>Here&#8217;s what you can do with Trade from Charts (TFC)<\/h2>\n<h3>Quick market prices and easy order placement<\/h3>\n<p>When you open a chart, you&#8217;ll see <em>Buy<\/em> and <em>Sell<\/em> buttons at the top that show real-time prices:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Buy<\/em> button shows the best ask price<\/li>\n<li><em>Sell<\/em> button shows the best bid price<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This gives you the best available prices without checking market depth separately.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Placing an order is simple:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click <em>Buy<\/em> or <em>Sell<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Check the order type (Market orders are default)<\/li>\n<li>Enter quantity<\/li>\n<li>Confirm your order<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/2.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For faster access, use keyboard shortcuts: <em>Shift+B<\/em> to buy or <em>Shift+S<\/em> to sell.<\/p>\n<h3>Orders at specific price levels<\/h3>\n<p>To place limit or stop-loss orders at exact prices:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hover over your price on the chart<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click the plus icon<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enter your order details<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/3.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This makes placing orders easier because you can see exactly where your price levels are on the chart compared to current market movements.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Orders on chart<\/h3>\n<p>All pending orders appear on your chart. You can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drag and drop to change the prices<\/li>\n<li>Click to modify an order<\/li>\n<li>Click <em>X<\/em> to cancel orders or close positions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Please note that with <em>Instant order<\/em> placement on, orders are placed immediately without confirmation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/4.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Executions<\/h3>\n<p>Show or hide arrows on candles that mark your trades for easy tracking.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/5.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Positions display<\/h3>\n<p>Positions are shown by default. You can hide them if required. You can also exit the positions by clicking on <em>X<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Display P&amp;L as:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Actual money (\u20b9200 profit\/\u20b9150 loss)<\/li>\n<li>Tick size (price change)<\/li>\n<li>Percentage (of investment)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/6.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Reverse button<\/h3>\n<p>When hovering over any position, a <em>Reverse<\/em> button appears that upon clicking:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Closes your current position<\/li>\n<li>Opens an opposite position at the same quantity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If sufficient funds are not available, the reverse action is not executed, and the existing position remains unchanged.<\/p>\n<p>Perfect for quickly changing direction when markets shift. You can hide this if you prefer.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/7.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For custom layouts, you can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Turn on or off price lines across the chart<\/li>\n<li>Align positions and orders to the right, left, or center<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Instant orders<\/h3>\n<p>Enable one-click orders without confirmation screens (use carefully). Orders will be placed instantly using whatever settings were previously selected in the order window. For instance, if you had MIS (intraday) selected when placing previous orders, the instant order placement feature will use MIS when executing new orders.<\/p>\n<p>With instant orders enabled, adjust quantity using:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Manual entry<\/li>\n<li>Quick-select values (1, 5, 25, 100, 500, 1000)<\/li>\n<li>Plus\/minus buttons that change by:\n<ul>\n<li>Lot size for F&amp;O contracts<\/li>\n<li>Single units for stocks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Clear (C) button to reset<\/li>\n<li>Reset button for default quantities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/8.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Instant order placement applies throughout the chart for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Market orders<\/li>\n<li>Limit orders<\/li>\n<li>Stop losses<\/li>\n<li>Exiting positions<\/li>\n<li>Reversing trades<\/li>\n<li>Modifying existing orders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Chart alerts<\/h3>\n<p>Create price alerts directly from charts:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click <em>Add alert<\/em><\/li>\n<li>The instrument, condition, and price fill automatically<\/li>\n<li>Adjust if needed and confirm<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/9.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Trading settings<\/h3>\n<p>Customise your chart with these options:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Buy\/Sell buttons<\/strong>: Show or hide them as needed.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/10.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sound alerts: <\/strong>Turn order execution sounds on or off.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/zerodha.com\/z-connect\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/11.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Have questions about the Trade from Charts feature?
