We\u2019re excited to announce our follow-on investment in LISSUN<\/a>, a company dedicated to solving mental health prevention and treatment at scale.<\/p>\n

Mental health is a critical pillar of health and well-being, and yet, is an under-served aspect. Nearly 11% of Indians face or have faced mental health issues (as per the National Mental Health Survey 2016). Despite this, access to appropriate mental health solutions is very low across India and is generally not a priority in healthcare.<\/p>\n

Interventions of varying levels are required, as many people don\u2019t know where to start. This is where LISSUN helps. LISSUN offers various options via their app – self-check-in options such as journaling and meditation, quick solutions such as messaging therapists, and therapist calls and sessions.<\/p>\n

One of our primary goals at Rainmatter is to help Indians lead healthier lives, and backing LISSUN for their mental health solutions is the right fit for us. \ud83d\ude42 What we like about LISSUN is its blended online and offline model: they offer most services online and specialist services for children (such as speech therapy, learning, and development testing, and psychological assessments) in their new offline Sunshine centres, in four cities.<\/p>\n

At LISSUN, our mission is to solve mental health at scale by providing comprehensive, full-stack solutions that are not only accessible and affordable but also prevention-focused. A key aspect of our mission is to target the 80% of the population that remains unaware or underserved when it comes to mental health care. We recognize that awareness alone isn’t enough; there is a vast, untapped potential of individuals who need tailored, proactive support to address their mental well-being.<\/p>\n


To further this mission, we recently launched Sunshine by LISSUN\u2014a specialized initiative dedicated to child development and neurodevelopmental issues. Sunshine provides early intervention and tailored support for children and their families, ensuring that developmental challenges are addressed before they escalate. By focusing on prevention, early intervention, and reaching those who have historically been left out, LISSUN ensures that well-being is within everyone’s reach, from the youngest members of society to adults in various life stages.<\/p>\n

Our approach is to innovate and redefine mental health care by integrating it into everyday life, whether in healthcare, education, or corporate environments.
