So far the new version of Pi is nice with many new features. But it still suffers from many fundamental flaws in the charting system.

So to begin with

1) The Trendline vanishes at random when the chart is switched from 1 time frame to the other.

2) Trendlines sometimes also move from its initial position at random when switching time frame.

3) After loading a saved chart the Horizontal lines are totally missing. I think the horizontal lines are not getting saved at all.

4) Loading a saved chart won’t allow anymore time frame switches. Which is totally weird. So for instance if i load a 5 min saved chart with some horizontal lines and trendlines drawn , the loaded chart won’t have any horizontal lines at all. On top of that the time frame switching select box is completely disabled.

5) Say i have a chart of AXISBANK 15min opened, i scroll back to January and in there i draw some lines. Now when i switch the time frame to say 30 min, i’m taken to the end of the chart or to the last data or the current day. This is very annoying and distracting. Because everytime i try to switch a time frame , i also have to again scroll back months of data to get to the point i was, before switching the chart.

6) Trendline, Horizontal lines, rectangles are still very very crude, in the sense that it allows no easy changing of colors, thickness, line types, rectangle fill color, translucency etc.

7) Text tools suffer the same fate, of being utterly crude as i can’t edit a text, nor change its font, not its size, nor its color.

I can’t but hope that these simple , basic yet the most fundamental features will be implemented and fixed in the upcoming issues. As a matter of fact, i’ve been sending this same message for the last 6 months or maybe even more. Yet Pi doesn’t have a decent charting tools. And these are the basic charting tools that are present in all decent charting platform worldwide. Please do consider getting this fixed
