Thanks Nithin for your reply. I am an NRI with an NRE-PIS account with Sharekhan. Can I open a second demat account, NRO-PIS route, with ILFS/Zerodha? If an NRI can hold 2 demat accounts, one NRE and another NRO then problem solved for me!
