Not having support for PI on apple mac is really disappointing.
The justification that the 3P provider/service does not support mac due to maintenance overhead is not good enough. All development decisions are benefit to cost trade-offs. The assumption you are making is that mac support is not worth it.
Is there data on your side to substantiate that claim? e.g. can you pull client metrics on how many users access Kite via mac to windows; and if that number is a steadily increasing number or large enough.
I would request you to put customers first vs designing/developing products backwards from what a 3P can support.
