I think you don’t have administrative privileges on your computer which is why you get the error “Failed to Open…” Why don’t you right click on the shortcut and choose “Run as Administrator” which should help resolve this.

If it still doesn’t work, uninstall all versions of Zerodha Trader and reinstall the latest version. Then right click and choose “Run as Administrator”
