Settlement holiday and it's implications
There is a Settlement holiday on Aug 17th, 2016 being Parsi New Year. However the Equity markets will continue to function normally.
In lieu of the settlement holiday, shares bought on Aug 16, 2016 will not be available for selling on Aug 17th,2016 i.e., BTST transactions will not be available for shares purchased on Aug 16th, 2016.
