Pi and NEST working normally

If you haven’t done the update, you can let it be. Everything is back to normal.

Here is a gist

Most domains in the world are powered by godaddy, we use them to power our login mechanism on NEST/Pi, they had a major outage in asia today . That is the reason many clients would have faced issue logging in. This is only for login, so if you were logged in from before the incident, you wouldn’t have faced any issues.

Why not everyone was affected?

Godaddy has DNS servers worldwide. Good ISPs update the ISP level DNS cache often but the bad ISPs update slowly.
So for whoever this worked, their ISP had the domain->ip cache from before godaddy went down. We are referring to the ISP level DNS cache not personal computers
